I agree with you that the Google employees who volunteer for the programs and fight for them deserve credit, which is why I gave a shout out to them at the beginning of the post.

But “just” is a fair word to use when I know for a fact that there are other programs offered on Google’s campus to students from other universities – both in the summer and during the school year – that are way better, and give them actual experience working at a tech company.
